Welcome to Johnson Farms Miniature Schnauzers! We are located in Hico, Texas. We have been breeding miniature schnauzers for a little over nine years now. We are a second generation miniature schnauzer breeder. My husband’s father bred miniature schnauzer for many years before he became to ill to continue. We then had a wonderful opportunity to breed.
Our goal as a responsible breeder is to produce puppies as close to the breed standard as we possibly can. We have worked really hard to ensure that our dogs temperament, health, and confirmation is exquisite. Each of our breedings are carefully planned with hopes of show quality puppies. Our reputation and health guarantee goes with each and every puppy we sell.
We breed for the more laid back docile miniature schnauzers. We want our dogs to make every step you make and want to be with you but if you want to relax at home we want them to be content to snuggle next to you on the couch or chair with you and be perfectly content to lay there.. We call them our lap dogs.
Our miniature schnauzers rule the roost on our 34 acres along with our horses, cattle, house cat Sammy, and of course, we can’t forget, our now five year old son (who thinks he is a miniature schnauzer himself).
We love our dogs very much and give them the very best care possible. All of our dogs eat Eukanuba small breed dog food, they receive their heart worm medication once a month are treated with Advantage once a month along with their regulare monthly worming. They also receive a daily vitamin. They have more toys to play with than our five year old son but, are very willing to share with him of course.
We strive for the standard show size and quality miniature schnauzers (between 12-14 inches tall) but, we do have what we consider toy schnauzers born throughout the year. These little guys will top out at about 10 inches tall and will weigh under 10lbs.
We specialize in the long, thick, soft coat (some call the "Super Coat")instead of the course wiry coat that a lot of miniature schnauzers have. We have all three of the traditional colors including black, black and silver and salt and pepper. We do not raise the parti's, livers, or whites but, know some quality breeders that do, so we may be able to help point you in the right directions.
777 There are many opinions about the number 777. This is what it means to us: In our hearts 777 represents the number of completion and the perfect trinity of God. (the father, the son and the holy spirit). We feel God has entrusted us with this wonderful gift, with out him we would not be where we are today. |
